How do I book a class?

Classes can only be booked through our website www.thefrenchcakecompany.com a full list of classes is available and constantly updated.

How can I pay for my class?

Payment is via the Website www.thefrenchcakecompany.com via debit or credit card only. Payment must be made at time of booking.

What levels of experience are required?

No previous experience is required for beginners classes, we ask out of respect for the other participants that you please start with a beginners class to learn the basics before progressing to intermediate, advanced and professional classes.

Is there a minimum age?

The minimum age is 15 years.

Do you provide refreshments?

We provide tea, coffee and light refreshments during the calls, no food I provided.

Can I bring my own food?

For all day classes we ask that you bring lunch, something convenient that can be reheated in a microwave if required.

Where can I park?

Please park on the street outside our building, we ask that you please do not park in our neighbours carpark.

How many people are there in each class?

The beginners and experienced classes will typically have a maximum of 10 - 12 participants per class and a maximum of 6 participants for professional classes. We may vary this from time to time.

Can I reserve a place?

Our classes are exclusively reserved via our website www.thefrenchcakecompany.com registration and payment is required in order to acknowledge your reservation.

Do I need to bring anything for the class?

The French Cake Company provides all the materials required including the cakes, cupcakes or other cake type used during the class, a presentation tray and a transport box, you may take these items with you when you finish the class.

We also provide aprons, tools and equipment for you to use during the class. All accessories, equipment and aprons are the exclusive property of The French Cake Company and must be returned at the end of the course. You may not leave with these items. Some accessories can be purchased at the end of the class, we will provide a list of items for sale prior to and during the class.

Payment for these items is by cash.

Can I cancel my booking?

EU residents have the right to cancel their reservation for a class within 14 days of placing their order with a full refund. After this period there is no refund possible.

Please refer to our Conditions of Sale for full details on right to withdrawal and refunds.

The French Cake Company reserves the right to cancel or change the nature of the class.

In the event that a class should be cancelled, The French Cake Company will notify participants as soon as possible. We will then offer the opportunity to participate in another class or to be fully refunded for the class.

In the case of a refund, The French Cake Company shall not be responsible for any travel or subsistence expenses incurred.

How should I behave?

Participants should be courteous and respectful of other participants and instructor.

We recommend that mobile phones be switched off during the class to avoid disruption.

We ask students to wear light clothes and comfortable shoes.

For reasons of hygiene and safety, you are required to tie hair and ask that you do not wear excessive jewellery.

Can I take photos and videos during the class?

Photos are allowed during the class but videoing and recording of the class is strictly forbidden.
